Duke loses To Chapel Hill

On Thursday February 20th the best North Carolina college rivalry took place at Chapel Hill  Blue when Devils arrived at Dean E. Smith Center to face off the Tar Heels. The unranked Tar Heels defeated the number 5th ranked Blue Devils. The game first game when they were originally suppose to play was canceled do to the Winter Storm that cause a lot of trouble thought the southern part of the United States. With only being 8 miles apart the Blue Devils took a huge lost against the Tar Heels. The final score between the to rivals was 74 Tar Heels  to 66 Duke.  The Blue Devils were dominating but that all began to change at the beginning of the second half of the game.

Triqui’s A True Inspiration

 

The Triqui boys became an inspiration to the world as the became the first  to be recognized for playing with no shoes during a basketball tournament in Argentina. Although they had no shoes they managed to win the tournament and were declared champions (top picture). They received recognition by the NBA. The San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves game took place in Mexico City before the actual game they got a visit by the Triqui basketball team. In honor of playing with the Triqui’s boys they took off their shoes to play a game with the children (bottom picture).
